CHICKPEA SPREAD SANDWICH

You're vegan and you miss eating tuna sandwiches, or you simply want to reduce your consumption? Here is my favorite recipe to mimic the taste & texture of tuna. Simply mash chickpeas with a few ingredients and you'll get the taste of tuna, without the harmful effects, I promise.


INGREDIENTS

1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained

1 carrot

1 stalk of celery

1/2 red onion

1/2 red pepper

3 tablespoon vegan mayo

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt pepper


STEPS

1. In a bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork and leave some texture. Cut the vegetables into small pieces and add them to the bowl of chickpeas. Mix, then add the rest of the ingredients.

2. Serve on toast and add your favorite condiments (lettuce, tomato, dijon mustard).
