FRENCH TOAST

The easiest & most delicious vegan french toast recipe you will ever find. You only need a few ingredients & a good bread (like this one from Silver Hills). Try it for your next brunch & impress your guests!


INGREDIENTS for 5 slices

1 tbsp chia seeds

1/2 Tbsp maple syrup

1 cup non-dairy milk of choice

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

4-5 slices bread


STEPS

1. Mix all ingredients except the bread in a large, shallow plate. Place in the fridge to activate for 15 minutes.

2. Dip each slice of bread in the batter for about 20 seconds on each side.

3. In a pan, on medium heat, melt about 1 tbsp of vegan butter (or any oil). Place slices in the pan and cook until golden brown on the underside. Carefully flip and cook until the other side is golden brown too, around 4 minutes each side.

4. Top with desired toppings (maple syrup, fresh fruits, powdered sugar, etc.)
